The Crushed Out Project

The Crushed Out Project is a place to collect my thoughts, stories, and musings about crush. This project will be about everything related to having crushes, feeling “crushed out,” and unrequited love.

However, the main focus of this project will be from my pre-coming out days. I’m talking about life in the 80’s. I have saved every letter, every card, and every poem any girl ever gave me. I have enough artifacts to pull together an art installation. That’s just what I hope to do someday. I think everyone can remember their teenage crushes and all of the sweet pain and pleasure that came with the ride. I hope this is a place where we can have a dialog about the power and complexity of crush.
